There’s a cute quote by CoCo Chanel that says something about “when a woman cuts her hair she is about to change her life”! Boy was she right!! I have been in the pixie club for over a decade and I love it! About a week before having my second daughter Prestyn I got my hair braided in box braids. I decided to go this route because I was having a scheduled c-section and I remember how crazy I looked after having Parker. I figured the braids would be easy and allow me to look presentable to our many visitors that would be coming to see the new bundle of joy. I hadn’t worn braids in over 15 years and I love the ease of them and they made me look like I was 12 years old! LOL.

I kept the braids in for about 6 weeks. What a relief to not have to worry about my hair for that long, especially while trying to get adjusted to a new baby, making sure Parker was still feeling the love with a new baby around and back working (remote) by week three. (If you haven’t noticed by now I always do the most. lol) Whew!!

When I took the braids down my hair had grown so much. My husband has never seen me with anything but short hair, so he was surprised to see how much it had grown and encouraged me to let it grow. I promised him I would let it grow for at least a year….and I did. I enjoyed trying a few different styles and colors but honestly I missed my short hair and was ready to get it back. After my hair started to break off, I KNEW it was time. Time to get back to me!! So here I am ME. Do you have a certain style that your comfortable with? have you ever rocked short hair? Braids? whats your go to?
